So in today's newsletter Sam chats about fabulous words for women. Personally, my favourite is one that Sam already covers in the newsletter - that word being Vroumance.

She defines it as being besotted with a female friend in a non-sexual, but deeply emotionally affirming way.

See, I told you it's a fabulous word! (How I wish I came up with that word myself)

Anyway, we thought we'd do something really fun and chick-affirming by asking you to come up with a fabulous new "woman word". Post your word of choice here and if your response is selected as our favourite, you'll win yourself a R250 Kalahari.net voucher.

So go on and share, we're dying to chat to you and to read your lovely responses.

Gosh, can't I just suggest my favourite word from 2009? "Diva"? It's pretty hard to come up with an original term.

Okay, I'm going with Ball Buster (n) - a woman who, after too many cocktails with the girls, starts talking about all the men who did her wrong. The term works best in plural format. i.e. "Check out the ball busters at that end of the club".

My new Women Word is: "Conplaining" - the act of fabricating stories about your female partner’s mistreatment of you to another female in the hopes of eliciting enough sympathy to get into the other female's pants.

Both my best friend and I have been the subject of such "conplaints" by our ex's : )

My word is: Divina - we all know the word "Diva" - my word is a positive off spin of the word Diva. "Divinia is a goddess-like woman with style and class, but not because she demands it, because she deserves it. She's a woman who is quietly confident yet kind and respectful of others. She's special not because she's famous, but because she's beautiful, inside and out.

Womb-bat
You know those cute little creatures in Australia called wombats? They look so innocent and cuddly, but if you bug them too much they get into little fits of frenzy, biting and scratching their admirers. Much like the wombat, pregnant women (aka womb-bats) are magnets to other women...”Oooh, how far along are you?” and “Can I touch your tummy to feel the baby kick?” The response may not be as cute and meek as you would expect. With hormonal peaks and mood swings to scare even a true wombat, womb-bats are known to be volatile, unpredictable, moody, emotional and often in a frenzied state.

Other related verbs and adjectives include:
Womb-batty
Womb-battiness

Typical response to a pregnant friend who just bit your head off: “Oh put a sock in it you womb-bat. Here, eat a chocolate.”

Related words:
Woman during PMS: Monster-bat (menstrual...monster...)
Woman on pills of any kind: Crack-bat

I think I would have to go with the word DWAP (definately worth a pomp). Given to me at the tender age of 16 by my friends mother :-)

Oh and that term should be used when a real hotty walks past.

I have one!!!

This is for all those girls we really dislike but may not directly insult....:

A... Sindelilah!

Its a spin-off of Cinderella, a woman pretending to be a nice girl in glass slippers and a pretty dress, when in fact she is a horrible step-sister krapping in your slaai!
